Do you make pieces to order?
FAQ

Yes! Throughout the year I open my commission book a handful of times and have limited spaces available. You will be able to see on my home page, instagram and Facebook page when Commissions are open for booking.

How long does it take to complete a commission piece?

Every piece is individual. Whether you commission a pyrography piece, print or Mandala, at an early stage of the commission process we will discuss time scales, but usually pieces will take a minimum of 2 weeks and a max of 3 months for large or complex designs.

Do you post outside of the UK?

No, I only post to UK addresses. This is a conscious decision to help reduce the environmental impact of each piece of art

How are your items shipped?

All items are carefully packaged using recycled and recyclable materials. Each piece is wrapped in recycled tissue paper then, depending on the item, it may go in a rigid envelope or be carefully encased in cardboard.

I usually ship using Royal Mail for smaller items and a courier for larger or more expensive items such as commission pieces, but if there is a particular courier that delivers in your area which you would prefer I use, I am happy to look at options.

Do you accept returns/refunds?

Yes. as per the UK consumer rights act 2015.

For Pre-made items bought from my online shop/Etsy:

Returns/exchanges and refunds are accepted if you contact me within 14 days of the original purchase and the item is in the same condition it was sold in.

Any returned items must be well packaged (save the packaging it arrived in as this should do) and the buyer is responsible for postage costs.

For exchanges. An exchange will only be offered if the original piece is faulty or damaged. The new item will be sent out once I have received back the original. I am responsible for all postage costs in this instance.

For Commissioned/made to order pieces:

Returns are only applicable if the item arrives damaged/faulty.

At each stage of the commission process you will be sent pictures of the item to verify you are happy with the piece. As such, returns/refunds are not applicable if you are unhappy with the art work/wood in any way.

What do I do if my piece has arrived Damaged/Faulty?
  1. The first step is to take some photos of the item and the packaging.

  2. Next, Contact me either by email or the contact me page. Include details of the order, how it arrived, the damage/fault and photos to show this, including photos of the packaging. Note: in this instance you must contact me within 7 days of receiving your item.

  3. Once I have this information I can take further action. This might include contacting the delivery company for compensation (which is why we need the photos of packaging) or I may ask you to post the item back to me for further investigation.

  4. If the damage has occurred during transit I will make a suitable offer of refund or exchange. If I deem the damage has occurred through no fault of the courier or myself no refund will be offered.

  5. In the case of commissioned pieces, if the unthinkable happens and the item becomes damaged, the first thing I will do is see if there is any way to fix the item. If this is not possible and there is not enough time for another piece to be created, a full refund will be offered.

  6. Once you have contacted me, I may ask you to post the item back, so it is important that you do not throw it away until I confirm next steps. I pay postage costs for the return of damaged and faulty items.
